Gopher High School Night!

Hey Everyone- Hope you are all enjoying your time now that gymnastics is over! It is weird for me to be done working for the day at 3:30. I’m not quite sure what to do with all my time. Yoga and running are back in my life which feels good!

I received an email from the Gopher gymnastics team regarding their Gopher High School Night. Any of the girls that were on the team this year including managers, are able to get into the meet for FREE!! I have already emailed in our roster, so if you decide to go let me know. It would be very fun if a group of us went and sat together!! Parents and siblings are just $4! Could be a fun night out-

Its on Saturday March 9th at 6pm! Let me know if you decide to go- I have already heard back from a few of you!

Wrappin’ it up!

Hey Everyone! What a great season we had this year! Thank you for everyone’s hard work and dedication! The section meet went really well and everyone had a great time. We wish all those that are headed to state this weekend- Good Luck!!

If you are free this weekend, I would encourage you to go to the State Tournament to watch and support the teams. I went last year, and it was really fun! It is held at the University of Minnesota Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis. The meet is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22 and 23.  Team competition is scheduled for Friday, with Class A competition beginning at 11 a.m. and Class AA competition beginning at 6 p.m. The identical time schedule will be followed for Saturday’s individual and all-around events, with Class A beginning in the morning and Class AA beginning in the evening. Tickets for the meet are available at the Sports Pavilion. Adult tickets cost $12.00 per session and student tickets cost $8.00 per session. A visit to any participating Wells Fargo metro location can yield a $2 discount coupon for students 13 and younger. The discount coupons are also available for the following tournaments: Girls’ Hockey, Class A Boys’ Hockey, and Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball.

We will be having our banquet on March 12th at 6pm, at Sibley High School in the cafeteria. We will be catering in food, and it will be $10/family member. All gymnasts are paid for. If you have any questions or things you would like to contribute let me know!

The gym is fully taken down. Thank you to all the girls that helped out both days to get everything taken down and organized! It really was a team effort! I was very impressed at how fast we got everything done!

The next 8 months are very important for everyone that would like to improve and strengthen their skills on the off season. Off season can prevent injuries, and it will keep you in shape. Just like any sport or activity that you do, practice is just as important as competition. We want to continue our success and start our season off strong next year!  Many of the girls have decided that they will be heading down to Park High school for off season high school training. They have a spring session that runs from March – May. Classes Start March 4th! If you want more information, email me and I would be happy to give you contact information.

Happy Handstands and Fabulous Flipping! Thanks for another great year!
